Where has the time gone...

I really can't believe the kids start school in less than 4 weeks!!! WOW.. So we've been super busy since last time I posted so I'll recap the past few months...In March I started working 1 day a week at the surgery center here in town. It's just enough to enjoy working and appreciate my kids a little more. April was filled with Easter and Raynee's big 6 birthday however we didn't have a party for her b/c we I was trying to pack the house to move. May was the end of pre-k and Ry's mothers day out. Raynee had her dance recital which is always fun. The last weekend of May we moved across town and down the street from my parents. I've been hard at work trying to unpack a family of 5 while all 3 kids are home all day with me. Needless to say I haven't made much progress but at least I can park my tahoe in the garage. :)
Maybe when the kids are back in school I can start decorating and finish unpacking....maybe

Day 4 and 5..

Well we made it our first official Spring Break!! The rest of the week was about as exciting as the first part. Thursday Joey was home so the kids teamed up on him (instead of me). I have been doing Zumba 2x a week so Thursday evening I went to that. Friday I was all about cleaning out the kids clothes and putting away winter stuff. The kids spent the afternoon at Joey's parents so I could get the house back in order. See not that exciting. We'll be ready to get back into our weekly routine. Especially Raynee oh how she loves school!

Day 3...

Lots of outside play along with a trip to the depot to explore the trains!

Day 2...

Day 2 consists of playing outside all day. Finishing up house work. We even made it the park for an hour. Pretty much a whole lot of nothing.. I think I'm boring Raynee to death! But the last couple of days I've been wiped out.

I know I say this every time time change comes around but it's kicking my butt this time. Rylan hasn't taken a nap the past 2 days and Raynee's been up at 6:00 every morning. I vote no time change in the near future... at least until my kids are teenagers and want to sleep all the time. :) OR I guess we could just move to Arizona!!!

Day 1 Spring Break

made some laundry detergent...

did loads of laundry....

made more baby wipes

lots of catching up around the house and the kids wanting to go outside. Here's to the rest of spring break and hopefully better weather in the days to come.

Weekend Getaway.

This past weekend Joey's cousin got married in Tulsa so we took full advantage of the babysitters and made a nice weekend kid free. Thanks mom and dad!! As you all probably know there were a ton of grass fires in Oklahoma on Friday. As we headed north east we ran in to a few. Some were quite scary right by the road, we could feel the heat through the car as we drove by.

We stayed at Hard Rock Hotel which was a lot of fun. We didn't win any money but we also didn't spend any either. I saw a couple of people win a few thousand though and when asked how much they had spent their response "you don't want to know". Joey played golf at the Cherokee Hills golf club right there at the hotel. I had fun watching and making fun of him. The course is one of the hardest in the state and he's no pro. We had fun but glad to be back home kids and all.

The Hair

Raynee was pretty much bald when she was born. Very fine light brown baby hair, not alot we could do to it until it grew into a mullet! Finally at age 2 she go her first hair cut (to trim up the mullet). So when Rylan was born I was totally expecting a bald baby....

So needless to say we now had this thick black haired baby that needed a hair cut as soon as he was born.

And at 3 months..
So normally I would just cut his hair, either a quick trim or a quick pass with the clippers either way it got the job done. This I'm sure has saved us lots of money over time considering he could stand a hair cut every 4 weeks.

This last weekend I decided it was time to let someone else do the job. His first real (professional) hair cut.

He did great NO crying which was a shock to me because he screams when I do it. We did have lots of snacks that I kept shoving in his mouth and a couple of times he said down, but overall a good experience.

Isn't he handsome!!! To bad the girls didn't get his thick hair and super long dark lashes :)

Snow Days..... Lazy Days....

Being snowed in for 4 days going on who knows when we'll get out is making all of us a little delirious! I've pretty much baked all there is to bake and cooked all there is to cook. 3 meals plus snacks for 4 days straight. I've caught up on all the laundry and since we've been in our pj's for the past 4 days there hasn't been any more. I love looking at the snow but I've had enough. Back after I graduated nursing school we were looking at places to live/work and briefly thought about Colorado. After looking at houses and average snow fall we opted for Texas. So here we are back in Oklahoma and snowed in!! Oh well that life. We are trying to make the best of it (snow ice cream, chocolate sandwiches, and lots of hide and seek).

Heading out side to play

Mad she can't go out side!

 Eating Snow Ice Cream!!
Loving It!!

Spring Fever

With it being so cold and windy lately the kids are getting restless so whenever we see the sun shining and the temperatures above 50 we bundle up and head out back to RUN.RUN.RUN. We can't wait for spring and summer to get here. Oh how the kids love to be outside.

Rylan was having so much fun running he couldn't sit long enough for a picture

Naptime Sewing

Whenever I go to Walmart I always check the remnants pile for cute fabric that someday might get a new life! The last time I was there I picked up 1/2 yard of cute flannel for $1.25. We get home and it goes in the closest with the rest of the fabric to sit and wait on me to bring it new life. (most of the fabric is still sitting because well it's waiting on me.. and if you haven't noticed I'm pretty busy)

So the other night as I was getting Reese dressed for bed I noticed her pajama pants were very cute and looked super comfortable and super easy to recreate. So the next day while the babe was taking her nap I got to work making her some new super comfortable super cute flannel pajama pants. Now I in NO way do I know how to sew or read patterns or even cut in a straight line but I did try my best, and I put lots of love into making these pants. I still haven't washed them so I'm crossing my fingers they don't fall apart when I do.

She looks pleased!! I see lots of pajama pants in my near future. :)

Finally

2 weeks is a long time for SAHM to have 3 kids under the age 5 in the house all day by herself while trying to potty train a 2 year old. We live off of routine so needless to say it was a long break and we are all glad to be back in the swing of things. Christmas things put away, school, dance, and gymnastics in full swing. It even took an extra week to feel normal again. House is clean, dinner in the oven and I'm enjoying some peace and quite. I do however miss those lazy mornings laying around on the floor (wrestling the kids) and wearing our pj's all day.
